As far back as I can remember, I have always been making art. I studied art in college and attended the SF Academy of Art. I've taken numerous classes throughout the years . While I pursued a long career in a completely different world, I continued to spend time with watercolors, pen and ink and collage, pastels. After retiring, I couldn't wait to finally have the time to dedicate to fully exploring more mediums.

However, I went down a different path and wrote two mystery novels set in Barnstable Village, on Cape Cod. (where I have a home now.) This was a total departure from anything I had done before. My books were published and I needed to spend time marketing and to start starting working on Book 3 in my series.

Then, in 2017, I lost my house in the Tubbs Fire. (wine country fire.) 3,000 homes in my city of Santa Rosa, Ca. were lost, 1200 in my own neighborhood. My husband and I had no warning and were able to escape with only our cat. (not even our cell phones!) It's been over 3 years since the fires and it is a long and difficult journey to rebuild my life. I lost all of the art I had

saved for many, many years. And, so many beautiful paintings from my family and other artists. That 3rd mystery book? Never happened.

Now, I am exploring digital art. I'm a newbie and having fun with it. So much to learn. I look forward to being a part of this group and expanding my knowledge of this new world.
